Don't wait for winter to lower your utility bills. The Neighborhood Energy Connection, a St. Paul-based nonprofit, is coming to West St. Paul to host two free, family-friendly workshops on ways you can save energy—and money—year-round.
You'll have the opportunity at each workshop to sign up for a discounted visit from Xcel Energy's Home Energy Squad. The Squad will install the energy-saving measures of your choice during their visit and will recommend ways you can save even more money on your bill. The cost of this service, normally $80, is reduced to just $30 for workshop attendees, including materials and labor.
The audience will learn about no-cost and low-cost methods to reduce their energy bills. Participants who are considering big projects, like insulation, furnaces, or water heaters, will discover low-interest loans and other resources that make these projects affordable.
Both workshops will cover the same topics, so choose the one that works best for you.
