Gala started working at the NEC as a Home Energy Squad crew leader in fall of 2015. She checks homeowners insulation levels, water heaters and furnaces, as well switches out light bulbs, faucet aerators, and adds weather stripping to leaky doors as needed. Before joining the HES, she was an AmeriCorps member with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, serving in the field as a construction volunteer facilitator.
When she isn't at work, she enjoys lounging with Netflix movies, hanging out with friends, traveling and biking. She graduated from the U of MN with BA in German studies and spent a semester abroad in Berlin.
