We partner with the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency to offer loans that help your customers finance home improvements. As a nonprofit lender, we’re able to offer a combination of better rates and lower minimum credit scores than many private lenders.
We finance both energy-related and general home improvements, but lower rates are available for energy projects, including:
- Furnaces
- Boilers
- Insulation
- Air sealing
- Qualifying windows
- Qualifying light fixtures

We think our Energy Fix-Up loan will be especially helpful to you and your customers. One of the features that sets this loan apart is the 4.99% fixed interest rate that is available for credit scores as low as 620. If a homeowner’s credit score is 680 or above, they‘re eligible for an unsecured (no collateral required) loan.
One other important aspect to note is that while many cities and counties offer lower interest home improvement/home energy loans, these programs usually have upper income limits. The Energy Fix-Up loan has no upper income limits and is available to homeowners statewide.
Who We Are and What We Do
We're a nonprofit that's been helping Minnesota homeowners with energy efficiency since 1985. We have a variety of service offerings, including home energy audits, free energy advising, efficiency certifications and consultling, and home improvement financing. As a nonprofit lender, our is mission to help community members increase their energy savings, comfort and quality of life.
Our partners include Xcel Energy, Greater Minnesota Gas, the City of Saint Paul, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and Ramsey County.
