Energy Wise Rental Rebate Pilot Program

REWARDS JUST AHEAD

Rewards for Central Corridor Landlords

Landlords in select Central Corridor neighborhoods [AREA MAP] can receive maximum cash rebates for the qualified energy improvements they make on their residential properties.

The process starts with an energy audit. The auditor's detailed attic insulation and air sealing specifications will be used to collect bids. Once insulation is installed and inspected, the landlord can receive a $350 Energy Wise Rental Rebate, plus an Xcel Energy rebate for 20% of the total project cost, up to $300.

Landlords who complete at least three prescribed energy improvements in addition to insulation and air sealing can take part in Xcel Energy’s Home Performance program. The Energy Wise Rental rebate for these landlords is $750, plus hundreds of dollars in additional rebates from Xcel Energy depending upon the number and type of additional measures installed.

As a further incentive, landlords who undertake to make their properties very efficient by implementing multiple advanced efficiency measures will receive an Energy Wise Rental Web badge and sign to display on their building.
